Amanda Altamirano is a professional and technical writer with over two decades experience in the technology industry. She is also a second year Ph.D. student in the Texts & Technology program at the University of Central Florida. Her area of specialization is Scientific and Technical Communication.

Her research interests include leveraging project management and user experience strategies to elevate the technical communication field.

As a longstanding member of the Society of Technical Communication, she recently served as Co-Manager of the Technical Editing Special Interest Group.
